I found that website when I was pregnant. You can go from Forum to Forum and find the ones that suit you the best... You can talk with people who had difficult births, lost a child, raise children with disabilities, raise multiples, etc. The choice is really broad, and you can even suggest the creation of a new Forum...
Once you have left hospital, you might start to wonder why, how, or maybe all your requests have not been met... You are untitled to get answers to all of your questions. Through an NHS service in your hospital that will liaise between you and your treating doctors you can put down all the questions that remaine unanswered. This does not affect the way you are cared for at the hospital! I would also recommend that you ask for a copy of your complete hospital notes (including the pregnancy ones...).
This website is for DI sufferers. There is a small section about the pregnancy related DI. But most importantly all the terms used when talking about DI are explained. You might have heard them in hospital, but you can't quite remember what it means... well, look it up!
If you have made it this far then you have already started your research on AFLP... Google is a fantastic tool, but all those informations can be overwelming at times... Take things one step at a time. If it gets too much, turn the PC off and try again when you feel a bit better.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you can think of any links that could be added here
This one is a little bit special, it is not directly related to AFLP. But some of us (forum members) have joined facebook. There is a AFLP group, created by Donna. If you would like to contact us through Facebook, please do!
